About the Role:

We’re continuously on the lookout for support workers with a background in disability support or related fields. Our anticipated roles involve providing support to individuals ranging from 11-year-olds to mature adults. We’re seeking enthusiastic individuals who are physically fit, active, and bring experience and or passion to the disability sector.

Role Highlights:

  • Providing support to participants in achieving their goals through engaging activities within the community.
  • Effective and respectful communication within the participant’s family setting.
  • Adaptability to diverse situations and participant needs.
  • Assisting in skill development and enhancing the quality of life for those we support.
  • Implementation of Behaviour Support Plans and routines as directed by Allied Health Teams.
  • Flexibility in working various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, active overnight shifts, weekends, and public holidays, tailored to participant requirements.

Criteria:

  • Demonstrated physical fitness and agility.
  • Ability to manage behaviours in line with Behaviour Support Plans.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Adaptability in fast-paced environments.
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check, Driver’s Licence, Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate, First Aid Certificate.
  • Completion of NDIS ‘New Worker Induction Module’
  • Certificate III in Individual Support, or Certificate IV in Disability (or equivalent).

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in Mental Health and Autism.
  • Experience in Allied Health
  • Previous experience working with children with disabilities.
