About the Role:
We’re continuously on the lookout for support workers with a background in disability support or related fields. Our anticipated roles involve providing compassionate care and support to elderly individuals. We’re looking for dedicated individuals who are physically fit, active, and bring experience or a passion for the aged care sector.
Role Highlights:
- Providing personalized support to elderly participants in achieving their goals and engaging in community activities.
- Cultivating effective and respectful communication within the participant’s environment.
- Adaptability to diverse situations and individualized care needs.
- Facilitating skill development and enhancing the quality of life for those under our care.
- Implementation of care plans and routines aligned with the requirements of our elderly participants.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, active overnight shifts, weekends, and public holidays, catering to participant needs.
Criteria:
- Demonstrated physical fitness and agility.
- Ability to manage care needs aligned with care plans.
- Excellent communication skills, especially in an aged care context.
- Adaptability in dynamic and fast-paced care environments.
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check, Driver’s Licence, Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate, First Aid Certificate.
- Completion of NDIS ‘New Worker Induction Module’.
- Certificate III in Individual Support or Certificate IV in Ageing Support (or equivalent).
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in Mental Health and or Allied Health
- Previous experience working with elderly individuals.
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities.
