About the Role:
We’re continuously on the lookout for support workers with a background in disability support or related fields. Our anticipated roles involve providing support to individuals ranging from 11-year-olds to mature adults. We’re seeking enthusiastic individuals who are physically fit, active, and bring experience and or passion to the disability sector.
Role Highlights:
- Providing support to participants in achieving their goals through engaging activities within the community.
- Effective and respectful communication within the participant’s family setting.
- Adaptability to diverse situations and participant needs.
- Assisting in skill development and enhancing the quality of life for those we support.
- Implementation of Behaviour Support Plans and routines as directed by Allied Health Teams.
- Flexibility in working various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, active overnight shifts, weekends, and public holidays, tailored to participant requirements.
Criteria:
- Demonstrated physical fitness and agility.
- Ability to manage behaviours in line with Behaviour Support Plans.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Adaptability in fast-paced environments.
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check, Driver’s Licence, Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate, First Aid Certificate.
- Completion of NDIS ‘New Worker Induction Module’
- Certificate III in Individual Support, or Certificate IV in Disability (or equivalent).
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in Mental Health and Autism.
- Experience in Allied Health
- Previous experience working with children with disabilities.
